MindWorks Marketing present donation to St Wilfrid’s Hospice

St Wilfrid’s Hospice in Chichester has been presented with a cheque for £1,059.57 by Emsworth-based MindWorks, after the hospice was selected by colleagues to be the recipient of their fundraising efforts as the company’s charity of the year.

The charity was nominated by the company’s financial controller, Anna Hutchings, in memory of her mother who received end-of-life nursing care at the hospice, while the families of several other MindWorks colleagues have also received support from St Wilfrid’s.

Anna said, “As a family, we benefitted tremendously from the practical, emotional and social support St Wilfrid’s gave to my mother and to the family as a whole. I would like to thank all of the colleagues who have helped to raise funds for the hospice to support its wonderful work for so many people in the local community.”

Vanessa Reed, St Wilfrid’s Community & Corporate Fundraiser, said: “We’re delighted to receive this donation from MindWorks. St Wilfrid’s relies on donations and fundraising from supporters to provide palliative and end-of-life care free of charge to local people in West Sussex and Hampshire. This month we have launched our ‘Pay for an extra day’ campaign as it is a leap year, with all donations doubled up to £26,000, so any businesses that would like to be involved will be making double the difference to local lives.”
