Embracing our Year of Evolution with a Kaizen spirit

As we begin a new year, we hope 2024 brings with it a sense of growth and development for us, our clients and our partners.

Each year, we decide as an agency to embrace a theme that guides us, our ethos and our work. Last year we saw lots of new and innovative technology come to the fore of our industry. We welcomed new colleagues with exciting new disciplines. And said hello to a number of exciting new clients and projects.

This year will mark a shift in our commitment to innovation, growth, and adaptability. That’s why 2024 will be our YEAR OF EVOLUTION.

Driven by a passion for progress, we are dedicated to evolving our services, refining our processes, and cultivating a dynamic culture that fosters even more creativity and resilience.

An image with Japanese symbols for Kaizen which means 'change for good'.

Kaizen. A Japanese business philosophy meaning ‘change for the better’ or ‘continuous improvement’.

This has always been a guiding principle at MindWorks, whether that’s to do with improvements in our environment or increasing efficiency. Our most recent initiative has combined both of these elements in a pleasingly harmonious way!

We wanted to improve the flow within our workspace with new ergonomic desking and seating to reflect the flexible nature of our working culture and introduce more of our brand colours. Serendipitously, just as we decided we did not want to consign perfectly good desks to landfill, we not only found the ideal pre-loved desking solutions for ourselves but were able to give our well-loved and still perfectly usable desks to a local start-up business.

A friend of our Finance and HR Assistant, Ramona (who knows everyone in the region), just happened to be starting her accountancy business in nearby Havant. And when she attended MindWorks’ 25th birthday party as one of our guests at the end of last year, she admired our desk layout during a tour of our offices in Emsworth. Last month we gave them to her for free on the same day our recycled desks arrived, along with beautiful on-brand colour-popping ergonomic seating. Our team had a blast working together to create our new office space. Very Kaizen for all indeed.

In the background, there is a large globe and a small figure on a ladder checking off a box, symbolizing decision-making and global reach. The image also includes gears in the top right corner, indicating planning or mechanical processes, and another person holding a megaphone, suggesting communication or announcements. The overall color scheme is predominantly blue with green accents on the arrows.
Put simply, a brand strategy sets out the long-term vision that your marketing strategy relies on to bring that vision to life.

For Ellie and Melissa, two adventurous MindWorks souls, the positive benefits of their sabbaticals have been long-lasting both personally and professionally.
