As a multi-faceted full service agency, MindWorks’ talented colleagues have a remarkably wide range of skills that allows us to deliver the very best services to our clients. This is testament to our employee owned company ethos, the incredible people that we attract to work with us and our forward-thinking use of the latest technology.

Our approach to keeping on top of the latest trends in technology and knowledge is to encourage training, self-improvement through learning, continual sharing of ideas and concepts, and attending the best industry-specific conferences. I recently attended BrightonSEO, one of Europe’s biggest search marketing conferences – this year, 138 speakers in 6 locations over 2 days with an attendance of 8000+.

Topics covered ranged from the learnings of seasoned gurus on the ever-changing landscape of best practices and structuring data, to the more obscure and technical matters of drilling into the insanely complicated algorithms used by the likes of Google to filter out the chaff and deliver their users phenomenally fast and relevant results.

This wasn’t an event that just tells you ‘content is king’ or ‘don’t translate your site, localise it’ and all those other conference clichés. It was hands-on, detailed and practical. I found myself swimming in a vast ocean of knowledge full of an abundance of useful, applicable information for me to absorb that I couldn’t wait to start putting into practice.

To anybody out there who may be interested (and I accept that may be a small pool!) I’d highly recommend it.
