The Brief
On paper the V-Strom1000 was always going to be a hit, the problem was it's a competitive segment with new product launches all the time and their latest model launch was months away! Suzuki asked us to find away of delivering all the features and benefits of the new bike, but in a way that had never been done before to maintain customer interest.
The Actions
We wanted to put the new bike, in all its colours with all its accessories quite literally in the hands of prospective owners months before the launch. So working closely with the Suzuki factory in Japan and using the actual manufacturing data, we and our AR specialists, created the world's first augmented reality motorcycle APP. The customer can change colours, add accessories, watch videos and zoom right in to every detail of the bike.
What Happened
Originally just designed for the UK market, the app expanded into German, French, Dutch and Polish markets and is now available via Suzuki's global site around the world, so far it's been downloaded over 10,000 times, in both MAC and Android formats.
