The Brief

The Royal Navy and Royal Marine Charity was set to take a leading role, it was to become the focal point for all the naval charities. What was needed was an identity that would be instantly recognisable and one those charities, under its new umbrella, would wear with pride.

The Actions

Its fair to say that the logo is now at the heart of everything that the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Charity do and it's worn with pride by men and women around the world as they raise money for 'their' charity. We're proud to have to created it.

What Happened

We created branding that found its inspiration in the white ensign, the flag carried for centuries by every single warship in the Royal Navy. Mixed with crisp typography it uses the colours of the union flag to promote the charity and clearly identify it to the men of women of the naval service as their charity. Stakeholder brand research was carried out with serving officers and ratings, families, friends and the general public.
